Serenity in Scrubs: A Thanksgiving Pause for the Heart

ree

In the swirl of holiday shifts, full units, and the rush of caring for others, Thanksgiving can arrive quietly—sometimes without giving you a single moment to breathe. This edition of Serenity in Scrubs is your gentle reminder to pause, exhale, and receive a little of the care you so faithfully give.

Close your eyes for just a breath. Let your shoulders loosen. Feel the weight you’ve been carrying, physical, emotional, mental and slowly soften.

You spend so much of your time pouring into others. Today, allow yourself to feel poured into.

A Thanksgiving Reflection

If you can, take 30 seconds to ask yourself:

  • What is one thing I’m grateful for today—even if it’s small?

  • What is one thing I need right now to feel more at ease?

  • What is one step I can take this week to offer myself compassion?

Small reflections matter. They steady the heart.

Thank you, nurse.

For showing up.

For caring deeply.

For being the calm in the chaos.

You deserve rest. You deserve appreciation. You deserve serenity.

Happy Thanksgiving!
